What this is

SAR is a small, structured, citation-first registry of hominin specimens and their published analyses. It exists because much of the primary literature on Denisovans and Neanderthals is fragmented across dozens of papers with inconsistent naming conventions, and cross-specimen comparisons are hard to reconstruct without pulling every PDF.

Every specimen, analysis, and comparison row is backed by a verbatim quoted passage and DOI. Records progress through three verification states: draft (parsed from ingest markdown), pending-verification (human reviewer has proposed a corrected assignment but not yet locked to a source quote), source-locked (human-verified against the exact quoted passage from the paper).
